It sounds simple - hop on a bike and saunter up to Maine!!!! Well, maybe physically not that simple, but the details seem endless today. Laptop is being repaired and fingers crossed I can pick it up on Friday - ready for the trip.
Thought a lot about the water thing today on my ride. Not thrilled about the idea of carrying a camelback for water, but less thrilled about not having water ready to go at a moments notice. Going to get an aerobar bottle to supplement the one Don Kurtz made a year ago!!!!!
Rode 35 miles last night and another 30 this morning. Bike is in the shop getting tires, tuning, etc.
Other than arriving in Portsmouth (at Nubbel Lighthouse I think, though a friend just said that lighthouse is in York, so stay tuned on exact 'landing spot' - it will be in the Portsmouth area), I don't know where we are staying yet....so for the troopers treking for our overdue visits, I promise we'll have a place before we get there and you will be the first to know!
Lora - thank you, always!!!! And the Darcy's - OMG! I cannot wait to see you guys again....and seeing the Duxbury gang will be a treat. Brother Rick - see you around Myrtle Beach and Bruce - see you over the 4th somewhere in New England. Gary - thanks for helping Dad not worry too much.
With all this crazy errand-running around, getting on the bike and just riding all day is going to be heavenly!
Can't find the spell check - oh well!!
