OMG - I do believe I am a wee tired! We left at 7:30 AM escorted out of Jacksonville, FL by local riders and arrived in Richmond Hill, Georgia around 7:30 PM. Stunning weather.....overcast enough, tail wind mostly. Met some wonderful people along the way...highlights were the two woman who shared their lunch with us, which included the most scrumptious baked beans. Yum. Another highlight was the woman who saw the banner on the back of Bobbie's van stating what we were doing. She drove passed us, turned around and flagged the van down so she could donate. What a joy that was.
Bobbie is literally behind us in the van the entire way, which adds a great source of comfort. Cars must go way around the two of us. We also have 3 walkie talkies between all of us. That has been a fabulous way to communicate the route, needs or something worth seeing.
Truly a fabulous, fabulous day even though we were riding for 12 hours. Thanks for 'staying' with me!
