Florida to Maine Bike Trip - Day Six 74 miles

What an amazingly beautiful spot!  Outer banks of North Carolina.  Easy mileage day, two ferry trips to get us from island to island where we broke up our cycling into 3 segments and met more terrific people.  Ocracoke Island and it's village were especially charming with it's narrow road lined with quaint shops and the feeling of 'sea' everywhere.  The island is part of Cape Hatteras National Seashore and the cycling was phenomenal....wind at our backs, smooth road.....I was riding around 22 mph and Marty hit a high of 33 on the flats.  Fun.  I think we are almost at the half way mark.  TO LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
