Florida to Maine Bike Trip - Day Three 95 miles

The sun is brutal.  We never got a break today with cloud or tree cover.  And we rode for 11 hours.  I bailed at 95 miles with 15 to go.  Couldn't pull any more out of me.  Marty finished the 115 miles and he always looks strong at the end and then collapses in the room!

This will be short tonight, because the sun took everything I had to give today.  But I would be remiss if I didn't pay tribute to Brenda at the Baptist Church along the way who gave us a respite from the heat and filled up our cooler with ice.  Also Dave, the Jamestown Fire Department Chief, we met at the post office who was welcoming and informative....and of course all the well-wishers along the way.  You keep us going.

See you tomorrow. D

I'm praying for a little overcast and cool breeze for you. Drink as much as you can and take it a little easy during late morning and afternoon. ;-)
